Project Highlight – Organic Valley

On May 14, 2013, the main section of Organic Valley’s office building in La Farge, WI was destroyed by a fire.  Thankfully, the fire occurred at the end of the business day and nobody was hurt.  Company leadership, however, was left with the responsibility of not only finding homes for their employees to work, but to begin the process of designing and planning a rebuild of their work space.

After careful consideration, Organic Valley’s Facilities Department, led by Mark Pfeiffer, Sarah Jaiteh and Michael Schneider chose to partner with Schroeder Solutions to begin the design process. The talented OV team brought creative, new ideas and a vision for the future of their company to Schroeder Solutions.  Based on those ideas, the design teams at Schroeder Solutions and AIS created color renderings of numerous workstation typicals.

After narrowing down their choices, mock-ups for 15 people were ordered and installed at Organic Valley’s headquarters in an area not hit by the fire, so employees could experience their new work environments first-hand and make changes to the final layout.  In the end, the team incorporated a blend of low walls, no walls, free form workstations and private offices with height-adjustability options for all employees as well as numerous touchdown and collaborative areas.

The thoughtful attention to detail combined with access to natural light and a bright color palette provides employees with an inspiring and invigorating wellness-focused work environment.  Schroeder Solutions then helped to successfully coordinate the move and relocation of Organic Valley employees from a variety of temporary office locations into their new and improved headquarters.

Where in the World is Schroeder Solutions? Brandywine, PA

When completing projects in senior living communities, it is important not to disrupt the daily lives of the residents. Due to Schroeder Solutions ongoing logistics work and understanding of the client’s processes and standards, Jason was requested to project manage the delivery and installation of furniture for this out-of-state community. Jason Frank has been working with this Senior Living Housing Management company since 2006, so he understands how to complete a project with minimal disruption to the residents and little or no punchlist. He was onsite to meet the local delivery team the day of the installation, instructed the team on product placement, managed the delivery and installation throughout the day, and assembled many of the product items.

Where in the world is Schroeder Solutions?: BUYSEASONS Chicago & Seattle

No matter the size of the project, the Schroeder Solutions team provides BUYSEASONS with the services they need to address facilities across the country. A recent project completion in a Class A office building in downtown Chicago allowed BUYSEASONS to create a more efficient work environment for this specific team. The new, smaller work environment offers six private offices, a conference room, and a reception area with lounge seating. Schroeder Solutions provided design and moving services as well the furniture for the space, including a Global Zira Desking solution. The team worked with the local union crew to complete the installation.

Across the country, in the Seattle area, Schroeder Solutions supported the design process (under the direction of JPC Architects) for a new 11,000-square-foot facility for the BUYSEASONS 22-member creative team in the Bothell Business Park. The Schroeder Solutions team specified and integrated multiple Teknion product lines, including District Storage, Leverage Panels, and Expansion Casegoods to support the desired open plan. Two lead installers from Schroeder Solutions traveled to manage the local installation team.

As BUYSEASONS continues to grow, Schroeder Solutions will help standardize their furniture program and provide the design and move management services needed for the company’s facilities from coast to coast.
